The kind of game that will stay with you long after you beat it. I beat it twice and still come back to it time to time. Probably in my top 5 games of all time.

I disagree. Couldn't bring myself to revisit this game after my first playthrough. Tlou1, however, is a masterpiece that I've played over a dozen times.

If you loved The Last Of Us you'll probably hate The Last Of Us Part 2. I don't want to post spoilers even though this game has been out for a while, but it undoes a lot of the character development in the first game and makes both of the main playable characters extremely unlikable.

The gameplay and story are at total odds, the fictional world stops making sense to the point where it becomes difficult to suspend your sense of disbelief, and the ending takes away player agency in a way that is both frustrating and disappointing.

I used to really like Naughty Dog as a publisher but I probably won't buy any more of their games after this.

Tlou1 is absolutely top notch on story telling. Tlou2 completely butchered the story part (thanks Neil), very sad the series have to end up like that. Gameplay however, improved a lot over Tlou1, production value is definitely there and still worth playing if you just treat its story as fan fiction (Neil basically forced what he wanted for Tlou1 into Tlou2)

I played very late, Tlou1 for PS3 about 5 years ago. I then played Tlou2, I knew about the controversy and polarization. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, I thought the gameplay was amazing, production top notch, and I liked the story too. That was just my opinion, it seems split 50/50 but like athizzle said, the game stays long with you long after you beat it, if it resonates with you. It is an emotional rollercoaster.

Reading the comments on the polarizating conflict of the story between 1 and 2, was it that bad that we may never see a part 3? Might explain why naughty dog hasn't talk about the series at all...

They still made Rise of Skywalker after the The Last Jedi. Part 3 will print money regardless.
