For those that are older slick dealers age 65+ you can get medicare part B to pay for ONE durable medical equipment (dme) every 5 years which can be a walker, rollator, cane, wheelchair (sometimes powerchair/scooter). If you're in a skilled nursing home or hospital it can be covered by medicare part a but still limited to ONE every 5 years. Some advantage plans cover them.

If you're younger and have an FSA you can likely use those pretax dollars for the DME purchase

Add to that, the VA also covers durable medical equipment. Must be prescribed and ordered through the VA but they will provide you a brand new and custom (if needed) wheelchair, walker, medical bed, brace, etc that is yours forever. No idea how often though and may depend on need.

I have bought the Drive Medical lightweight version of this chair twice. It doesn't include a bag, but it was $127 each time. I like the brake better on the Drive chair.
I have been using one of them nearly daily for my partner since early 2020.

This one at Costco seems to have worse reviews than the ones I have.
