Debating to get this or Milwaukee. I have over 10 Milwaukee HO batteries and none of the Dewalt. But Milwaukee seem too expensive, $299 for bare tool is not right.

This has only 1.4 joules of power and does not have a chipping mode which is used to remove tile, etc. the Milwaukee has 3 modes

Sorry, I forgot to mention. I need a small rotary hammer to fix things up in the house, like the basement. I already have a Bosch Bulldog Xtreme corded, but I don't see myself holding that over my head with confidence.
I was trying to compare the Milwaukee 2508 vs. the DeWalt DCH172B (this DeWalt). I have all the batteries for M18 and M12, but I don't know if the tool alone costs more than this combo is even worth it.

I went ahead and ordered this combo. If for any reason I don't like it, I can just return it.

Going up 40 ft on a safety line with this same drill later today. Drilling a bunch of small holes in cured concrete makes this the Go To drill for me very often. The bigger cordless rotary hammers that I own are often more than I need.

Maybe Milwaukee has something similar. 🤔

This looks pretty cool but
The "D" handle dc133 has twice the power & regularly goes on sale for apx $130.00.
As for batteries , you can allways get an adapter.

I got my order yesterday. I realized these are old Dewalt batteries, not as good as XR and newer one. I think I will return it.

I don't know how good this battery is but having own only Milwaukee HO batteries, I'm not going back to regular one.

Huh? These are the newer 21700 which is how they're able to do 4Ah in a 5s1p config. They're not tabless pouch batteries (so equivalent to HO not Forge).

I got excited and almost ordered this until I saw your comment. Didn't notice initially that it didn't have a locking hammer mode, and I'll likely need it to remove tile at some point.

Oh really? If that's true then I'll keep it.
