This must be all the trade-ins from Prime Day lol! With the maximum discount being $40, very YMMV on actual percentage discount. That Kindle Scribe will only be 12% off or so. Prime Day deals with the 20% trade-in were a better deal on new devices IMHO.

Those 2022 kindles sold out so quick. I ordered one during the last time they had a kindle special (that time with a 15% coupon), but they oversold and my order ended up getting canceled. But I didn't even have a chance to get one this time unless I ordered right at midnight (I was asleep and didn't even know these were going up). I also tried ordering a used 2024 Kindle on eBay, but it turned out to have a busted front-light (which was not mentioned in the listing), so ended up returning that one. Hopefully some more end up coming to woot in the near future, or there's a good deal on one during Black Friday.

For what is worth: i believe amazon will remove the ads on your Kindle for $15-$20. So if you dont find a no-ad kindle, you can likely pay that extra fee to remove the ads. Cheers!

That kindle scribe is expensive without a pen too. Not sure who did their pricing this time around.

If you know how to run basic command line scripts or are familiar with Linux, use the Fire Toolbox. It's free and has 30+ hacks for Kindles. You can block and remove all ads, replace Amazon App Store with Google Play Store (or F-Droid), customize your app launcher, and so on. Best feature is blocking all Amazon updates, just in case they decide to brick old devices with updates. Much better than paying greedy Amazon even more money than they already got by selling these devices to consumers twice.

Don't sleep on those Pro Remotes; they're by far the cheapest I've seen. I've been replacing remotes whenever they come up for sale. The ping function is well worth it alone.

Even easier nowadays, just tell your AI agent to read the github repo and run it for you..
