That CPU will get everything out of that 2070 Super. If there was any bottleneck at all, it would be that GPU. Even something like a 4070ti super wouldn't be held back by that CPU.
So go buy a 9600x then, this CPU is obviously meant for people clinging to the AM4 platform for extended terms due to the BS pricing going on right now for components.
Literally none of what you said is accurate. This was widely requested BECAUSE memory prices skyrocketed, yet DDR4 still hadn't. Enthusiasts were foregoing upgrading to AM5 in lieu of what they already owned. Then the 5800X3D went EOL so it was in high demand. When they rereleased it, it still sold gangbusters. It's still the best AM4 CPU reasonably available if you exclude Ryzen 9.
The 5800X3D remains a strong AM4 gaming upgrade, especially for people moving up from older Ryzen chips and wanting the most out of a midrange GPU at 1080p or 1440p. It pairs well with cards like the RTX 2070 Super and even a 3060 Ti, and the included bonus items have varied in past promos, with some bundles adding a 240 millimeter all in one cooler or thermal pad. The main drawback is value, since the bundle price is seen as high and the included 850 watt ASRock PSU is non modular and viewed as entry level. That makes it feel more like a niche AM4 refresh than a full build centerpiece.
AM4 gamers using a midrange graphics card at 1440p, because the 5800X3D still gets the most out of the GPU without holding it back.
Builders expecting a premium power supply for a main gaming rig, because the included unit is rated as low-tier and may be better left for testing or backup.
Builders who already have a strong GPU and are mainly trying to fix a graphics bottleneck, because the CPU may not improve frame rates much when the GPU is the limit.
The included PSU is non-modular and is described as C+ / bronze-tier, so extra cables may need to be hidden and it is better suited to a secondary or budget build. It is also treated as a part many would not trust for a high-value system, where a reputable Gold-rated unit is preferred.
No meaningful CPU bottleneck is expected with a 2070 Super at 1440p; the GPU is more likely to be the limit. The 5800X3D can also leave headroom for much faster cards, so it is not the weak link in that pairing.
The bundle has been reported with a thermal pad, and some previous promos also included a 240mm or 240 AIO cooler. The exact extras can vary by listing and promotion, so the current deal should be checked for the included items shown on the product page.
It is mainly a gaming upgrade for AM4 users, with the biggest gains coming from older or lower-end chips like the 5600/5700/5800 class and much smaller gains over a 5900-series CPU. At 1440p the advantage is smaller than at 1080p, so the value depends heavily on your current CPU and resolution.
Yes, but you need to verify the correct listing: scroll to the default-checked "Yes! Add my bonus gift to cart" section, confirm the "Gift included" line, and check that the -$20 promo appears in cart. Other 5800X3D listings on Newegg may not include the same PSU or discount.
Will their be a big bottleneck with a 2070 Super for 1440 gaming?

I will say this, I ONLY and I mean ONLY play games from around 2022 and prior, nothing new at all and most games 2000 and prior
I guess it depends what cpu you're upgrading from. If you have anything equivalent to the ryzen 5600/5600x, you're probably already fine for gaming. This will be a boost for anything from the AM4 ryzen 5600/5700/5800, much less of a boost over the 5900 series, and anything equivalent from the 7000/9000 series.
At 1440p, the advantages of the x3d chips are much lower than at 1080p.
If you have a low end or older am4 cpu, the boost will come from upgrading in just about all other non gaming tasks.

I kinda wish they just took another $30 off the CPU. I have little to no interest in the PSU. I'd personally only use the 850 bronze PSU for a more entry level build, not a 5800x3d. PSU is rated C+ on SPL https://docs.google.com/spreadshe...=931697732

The least expensive price I've seen so far for the re-release of the 5800X3D, but we still got a long way to go since that price is still more than what I'm willing to stomach to convince me to buy one. However, a special shoutout is in order for Lisa Su since it was reportedly her idea to release the 5800X3D again to the public as a final send off for the AM4 platform: https://wccftech.com/lisa-su-want...m4-owners/

The 5800X3D can pair well with a 2070 Super for 1440p gaming without creating a CPU bottleneck.
The bundle can be practical for AM4 upgraders because the CPU helps more at lower resolutions like 1080p.
The included non-modular PSU can be easier to manage if a power supply shroud hides extra cables.
The CPU package reportedly includes a 240mm AIO and a thermal pad, which can reduce extra accessory purchases.
The deal can be especially attractive for AM4 enthusiasts who already own DDR4 and want to avoid DDR5 costs.
The included 850W ASRock PSU is described as C+ quality, which can make it a weak choice for a primary build.
The included accessories may vary because earlier 5800X3D bundles reportedly included an AiO and listings may differ on thermal pad inclusion.
The free PSU may be unreliable for real builds, and it may be safer to treat it as testing or backup only.
The bundle price can be viewed as overpriced compared with alternatives like a 5700X3D that has been priced lower for long periods.

Added to cart, you'll see a "Gift included" line, and the -$20 promo applied.
There may be other listings for the 5800X3D on Newegg that don't include the discount/PSU. But the deal linked here is to the correct listing.
This cpu will get the most out of the GPU, though.
2070 super is probably only OK for 1440p these days. Not great, but not bad.
