Alright, I don't have AT&T and I cannot confirm this but if you have both AT&T and American Airlines Aadvantage miles account, you may try this. I posted it here in the Travel Deals & Discussion forum because I cannot confirm this but if you're following me, you'll see this. 
Nothing to lose and comment what your outcome was.
Existing AT&T customers with eligible plans (AT&T postpaid wireless, AT&T Fiber, and AT&T Internet Air) can earn up to 5,000 free American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles (first 65k customers only) just by linking your accounts through the AT&T & More Benefits Portal. If you aren't the first 65k, you will still get 2500 bonus miles. Your first and last names on both accounts must match.
