I'd avoid black inflatable toys. You pump them full in the morning and as the sun heats them up they might over inflate.
Plus there's the hot plastic on skin issue (quickly solved I know) but I've burned myself plenty of times on hot black inner tubes.

Great comment. I agree completely, I usually go for lighter colors. Have had a board that was black, stretch itself out a on a hot day this summer. Still works but will probably fail much sooner now.

I have one of these in white and green from a year ago and it's been totally worth it. I've been out on the river many times, seen eagles hunting at dusk, and got a decent workout in. Not bad for under a hundred bucks and a heck of a lot cheaper than renting. The trick to inflating these is buying a cheap electronic pump to get you 90% of the way and then use the hand pump for the last 10%. It's so much easier that way.
