This 2 gallon Halloween bucket is being used as a handy small bucket for everyday chores, from car washing and mixing thinset to under sink plumbing work, aquarium water changes, and even garage trash or dog poop pickup. The size is the main appeal, since it fills the gap when a 5 gallon bucket is too much, and the logo can be covered if needed. The main caution is durability, with reports of cracking or holes on some similar buckets, and it is not food safe for anything meant to be eaten. A compact, versatile bucket if you want something small and cheap.

Common Questions (5)

  • It works well as a general-purpose bucket for car washing, mixing small amounts of thinset, under-sink plumbing work, aquarium water changes, garage trash, dog-poop pickup, and even as a planter or pot for cuttings. The smaller size is handy when you do not need a 5-gallon bucket.

  • It is the full 2-gallon size, not one of the mini buckets. That makes it useful for smaller jobs where a 5-gallon bucket is overkill, like general household tasks, car washing, or mixing small amounts of thinset.

  • No, it is not food-safe grade and should not be used for food that will be eaten. If you need to use it for another purpose, lining it may help, but it is not rated for direct food contact.

  • Some buckets reportedly crack at the center bottom over time, and a few users say they have seen holes or shrinkage on similar buckets from other stores. Others report Home Depot buckets holding up better than Lowe's versions.

  • No, the logo is only on one side. It can be covered easily with black gaffer's tape or a decorative cling if you want a cleaner look.

I was going to say too bad it doesn't drill well for use as plant pot with drainage, but the 88 cent price is gone anyway.

Don't let your kids be ads for Home Depot pleeeeaaaassseeeee
The logo is on one side only and is easily covered up. Black gaffers tape works well; I have a little pumpkin cling my son decorated at school that I'll paste over the logo.

This is good just for a general use bucket. Sometimes you don't always need a 5 gallon bucket and this should do well I'm going to pick me up a couple
i take it that it's not food grade safe?

My Home Depot tore all their Halloween down a week ago. All those 10ft animated decorations gone. Like 10 days before Halloween. Weird.

This plus a couple of plastic grocery bags equals a 2 gal trash can for my garage and for picking up dog poop.

In for a few. 👍

They are not food safe grade! Don't use them for the food that will go in your system.
