Google Pixel Watch 5 is drawing attention as a strong value on sale, especially for the LTE model and the larger 45mm size. The LTE version includes 2 years of Google Fi data, and that perk is described as applying even when bought through Best Buy on eBay. The watch handles texts, music, searches, Gemini, and maps over LTE, while voice calls still route through the phone over Bluetooth. Google Store and Best Buy can also be worth checking for trade in credits or store credit back, which can improve the final price.

  • The LTE Pixel Watch 5 can include two years of free Google Fi data when purchased as Pixel Watch 5 (LTE).

  • Trade-in options at Best Buy or Google Store can reduce the effective smartwatch cost.

    CKinbote

  • LTE functionality can cover text, music, searches, Gemini, and maps while voice calls route through Bluetooth via the phone.

    unfaix

  • Google One storage or AI tiers can provide store-credit cashback toward Google product purchases.

    efficacyman

  • LTE voice calls may not work over LTE and can instead route through Bluetooth via the phone.

    unfaix

  • LTE watch-plan costs can add roughly $20 per month, which can total about $480 over two years for call capability without the phone.

    unfaix

  • Buying the Wi‑Fi version may limit use cases if the goal is LTE features beyond sleep tracking and walking steps.

The sale is also active at bestbuy.com and google store. Those options can be less expensive if you trade in an older watch.

Best buy has them in store too: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/g...J39TC82RPG

Looks like target, Amazon, and Walmart may also be matching. Seems like this is the lowest they have been

Edit same with Google store

Yep, I've noticed after I posted that it's a Google-wide sale. I think the phones and watches are on sale at all major retailers.

Usually, eBay gets a relatively higher cashback from cashback websites compared to other retailers, including Best Buy itself. Some of the sites send you targeted emails after you browse eBay using their extensions. I currently have 13% from one of them. So, I think it's worth looking at those options and considering eBay to make your purchase.

Yes, you do. If you look at the full description, this is what it says:

"Ditch the extra watch plan.
Get 2 years of data included for any Pixel Watch 5 (LTE). No changes to your current phone plan or number required."

Highly recommend getting the 45mm LTE and buying it from Google directly so you get the 2 years of data included. If you have Google fi that also comes with free watch data. I went from the smaller 2 to the 45mm 5 and I'm loving it. I've always had the lte version because I like to leave my phone in the car when I'm doing runs or at the amusement park. I can do everything with my watch except take pictures, maybe one day 🤞

Just to clarify for anyone reading, you get the 2 years of data included even if you purchase from Best Buy on eBay, as it says in the description. You can try messaging the seller (Best Buy) in case you want further confirmation.

If eBay provides no external benefit to you (like cashback), then I'm sure Google store is the better option. If you have Google One, you also get 10% cashback as store credits on Google store.

There are tiers of google storage/AI which can give you 10% back from google store toward google product purchases - AI Pro and up, and I believe 1TB of drive storage and up.

Best Buy has an open box excellent 41mm for $229 but it's the wifi version. Is the LTE worth the extra price. Only really going to use it for sleep tracking and walking distance and step. Was thinking of just going with new google watch for $179

From my own experience usually these deals happen and then there is a bigger one on Black Friday. This is not always the case and is always case by case.

I want to confirm that I got the 45mm LTE version from BB store on Oct 24th, and I have LTE for text, music, searches, gemini, maps. Except VOICE calls. That goes through bluetooth through my phone. I have T-Mobile.

Except VOICE calls, that goes through Bluetooth from my phone. I have T-mobile, and could have sub to their watch plan and have calls without needing my phones, but that is like 20 bucks a month.. that's an extra 480$ for two years...Going to hae BB refund the differences since I paid full price.
