It's not a bad deal, but I don't know if I'd characterize it as a good deal. I think I'd personally want to see something closer to the $300 mark, given it's a quartz movement. But the quality is there, and if you like the look, you could certainly do much worse for more money.
Just FYI: Pagani Design makes a Lunar missions homage watch with similar look/features for about $130. Gevril IS higher quality - But out of my $ range.
This is a garbage deal. Way too much for a quartz watch. Much better off getting a Seiko or other solid quality automatic at this price point. There is no way this watch retails at 4-figures. FWIW - I build and repair my own watches and am a watch collector, with everything from Panerai to IWC to Rolex and several Seiko and other brand reps I have built myself.

Gevril is a known watch brand, though it occupies a specific and often debated niche in the horological world.
Heritage and Background
• History: The name traces back to Jacques Gevril, a Swiss watchmaker born in 1721 who was appointed royal watchmaker to King Ferdinand VI of Spain. The modern brand was revived in the late 1990s/early 2001 and is headquartered in the United States with manufacturing/assembly based in Switzerland.
• Offerings: They produce Swiss-made mechanical and quartz timepieces through the main Gevril line as well as their more fashion-forward sub-brand, GV2.
Market Reputation and Pricing
• MSRP vs. Real-World Value: Gevril is frequently criticized by watch enthusiasts for having heavily inflated Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs ranging from roughly $2,500 to over $5,000), while frequently being sold or discounted on secondary markets, grey-market sites, or subscription boxes (like Watch Gang) for a fraction of that cost (often $500 to $1,000).
• Quality and Movements: Many collectors on platforms like Reddit's r/Watches note that Gevril uses decent, reliable Swiss movements (such as Sellita), and general buyers often find the build quality and aesthetic designs attractive. However, consensus among enthusiasts is that they are generally not worth their full retail price, and better traditional watch values can be found elsewhere at similar street prices.
You can explore their official lineup on the Gevril Official Website.
