They're a bit thin so depends on what you're looking. For me, they are perfect for the Seattle mild weather and the hikes that have been doing recently are in the 40s or 50 so they are perfect.
A few things to keep in mind -
1. I normally wear a large and sized up to XL on these and they are perfect. They were slightly baggy when I got them but after I washed and dry they are perfect. The reviews correspond with sizing up.
2. The inseam is a tad long in my opinion, and the ankle elastic cuffing could be a bit snugger. But even walking around home barefoot, they don't drag or anything.
3. Only been a couple of weeks but the zippers have held up well. I have a Samsung Note 20 phone which is on the larger side, and the pockets are the perfect depth. The phone comes up to the bottom third of the zipper. So if you're standing and walking without it zipped up at all you're fine. if you sit down, the phone might fall out of your pocket unless you at least pull the zipper up a third of the way. I find this depth to be ideal because any deeper than that, and the phone is uncomfortably rubbing on my thigh especially when hiking.
4. I like that the drawstring is on the inside. On two pairs during the wash and dry, it did get pulled in so I had to fish it back out. Now I have them tied together and it's just fine on my 36 in waist and they stay snug but I have enough leeway to pull them down to use the bathroom.
At this price, they are a steal.
