They are probably putting all this open box stuff out now with a decent price so there is no alternative but to buy new.

Much more powerful, Z1E is a lot better than Steam Deck apu (except it is less energy efficient at lower wattages), and this has twice the RAM as a Steam Deck as well. This has an 8" IPS 120hz capable screen with VRR, way better than the Decks LCD and just different than the Steam Deck OLEDs 90hz capable OLED screen. Unless you could find an OLED for a good bit less than this or just really wanted it's track pads/build for some reason, I would EASILY get this over it (honestly would either way unless a crazy OLED deal came along).

Thanks for posting. Been waiting for a good deal on this and had to grab it with the 18 months no interest.

I was going to ask if we replace the stock Windows OS with Steam OS, but it looks like that's already done for us

I have it and it's a beast, plays almost everything i throw at it, the only downside is the battery. Playing it at full wattage doesn't last long but it charges fast, i have no problem since I play right before bed with it plugged in. if anyone is on the fence, ask away.

How long would you say the battery last at full wattage?

Three days before Thanksgiving, last year, is when they suddenly decided that RAM and GPUs needed a huge markup because AI.

I was very tempted at getting it yesterday but ultimately going to wait for a sale on the ally x or hope the regular lenovo goes down.
