Has anyone met a single person satisfied with these types of couches? Seems like they're cheap and just getting blasted across the internet

I have a coworker who just bought one and is enjoying it quite a bit.

I would consider it if I didn't already have a couch which was free 🤷🏼 ♂️

I use a smaller version (59" instead of 78" here) as a large dog bed. My dog loves it.

How big is your dog relative to two toddlers? This would be great for when they wanna crash in our bedroom!

I'm considering getting one of these for my basement home theater. I currently have a standard full-size sofa, but I'd like to add a second row of seating. To make that work without blocking the view, I'd either need to build a raised platform for the back row or find something low enough for the front row that people sitting behind it can still see the screen.

This looks like it might fit the bill, with the added bonus of doubling as an extra bed when we have guests. We have a spare bedroom, but occasionally need more sleeping space during holidays and family visits.

Has anyone actually used one of these? I'm particularly curious about a few things:
  • Comfort: How comfortable is it for everyday sitting, especially when the back isn't supported by a wall?
  • Size: Can two full-size adults sit comfortably on it?
  • Height: Does it sit noticeably lower than a standard sofa?
  • Sleeping: Is it actually comfortable enough to sleep on for a night or two?

Medium-sized dog, and plenty of room for her to play around on the couch when in expanded mode. For the 78" I'd imagine it would work even up to two smaller adults, so two toddlers should have plenty of room. The main issue with these foam couches is they have nonexistent headrests, so for anyone larger than a child you need to put the couch against the wall to lean back even a bit.

Without a supported back, I personally would not trust a boneless couch for much of anything. Think of it like a big pile of foam pillows because that is all it is. That can be comfortable for a little bit, but it will lose its shape and become pretty useless fairly quickly, unless you use it really, really rarely. (I have no idea if the supports in the photos will make a reasonable difference for this one or not.) For guests maybe a few times a year, you might be OK, but if you watch movies a lot and people will be sitting in it all year long, I'm not sure it will serve your needs!

I would personally use something like a folding futon myself, because even though those are not the best quality either, I'd trust them much more than a boneless couch. If you get a good frame, you can always replace the mattress if you ever need to, but if the boneless couch goes, it just goes. I don't know if you can find one with the dimensions you need but it should be a lot easier to get into a basement than a full size couch too.

Hopefully you find something that works for you either way!

Are you speaking from experience or repeating all this second or third person but acting as if you've had actual experience with the product? 🤔
