The Xbox Series X all digital is the stronger pick for players who want the full Series X performance without a disc drive, and the current price is described as about 20 percent off the usual $749. It still supports digital libraries and can fit a second setup like a vacation home, while the all digital design keeps the console simple. The main drawback is the missing disc drive, which makes disc to digital use impossible, and the expansion drives are called expensive. Coupon stacking also appears unreliable because Xbox hardware exclusions have shown up in fine print.

Common Questions (4)

  • The current price is about 20% off a normal $749 price, but it is still far above older deals like a disc Series X with a bundled game for $350 or a 1TB unit bought for $499 at launch. The main tradeoff is that this model has no disc drive, so it only makes sense if you specifically want an all-digital console.

  • It has no disc drive, so physical discs cannot be used directly on this model. If you already own the disc version, you can still use Disc to Digital on that console and play those games on this unit at another location.

  • Xbox hardware coupons may be excluded in the fine print, and a 5% birthday coupon did not discount Xbox hardware. A veterans 10-20% Target coupon reportedly worked on the console before, but that is not guaranteed.

  • The Series S at $379 is the cheaper option, while this Series X All-Digital offers the higher-end Series X hardware but without a disc drive. If you do not need the extra performance or 1TB Series X storage, the Series S is the lower-cost choice.

That's baller. No need to buy 2 of the same system for the same house.
Unless you have more than one gamer in the house.

It's because we need more tariffs, guys. I heard it on TV and they wouldn't lie to me, right?

I paid $200 for a Series S a few years ago. Zero interest in a $600 Xbox.

Series S also on sale, $380 normally $500 https://www.target.com/p/xbox-ser...nk=sametab
Remember when these were easily available for $200 or less during the holidays? Gaming in 2026 is insane

Have you been living under a rock? This isn't about tariffs but RAM and storage prices (plus global greed). Maybe you should watch something besides tv.

You didn't think there would be deals on Xbox near/on Black Friday after the recent price hike?
The issue isn't often the price, it's supply. Look at what is happening with the PS5 Pro. Ok, the PS seems to be the preferred model in the market for now, but you never know if there will in time be an Xbox shortage too.

All these 'I Paid $xxx yy years ago' are so pointless. Who cares? Slickdeals is for people who want something now. Is everyone holding out on buying groceries because they have increased since the 90s?

I still have my One X, stashed away with about 30 xbox discs. Probably put it on FB marketplace - light use by old man. Wink
I got the the Series X at Target for $400 a few years ago 10/2023.. Wink

I remember not so long ago the XSX with Disc AND bundled with a game for $350 during holidays. And now this $599 with no disc or game is a hot deal. Wow!
I remember $399 and I got it using mostly bing rewards cards. Now tariffs and price gouging by ai related companies hitting us. A new SSD used to be $80, now $250
