Wii, Xbox Original, PS2, Android games, Indie PC games and pretty much any console older than those. Even some Switch / Wii U games will work. I have a ton of these things and this one is the one I would keep if I could only have one.

Hard to beat at this price if you don't mind tinkering.

Check out Retro Game Corps on youtube, they have awesome walkthrough videos.

Man, I didn't need one, but I couldn't resist this for like $129 shipped. As far as I can see, this is the lowest it has every been. With all the discounts Retroid has been throwing around on this, the Flip 2 and Pocket Classic, I think they're either muscling their way into displacing other handhelds, or they're looking to retire models, and they're clearing out stock.

For anyone wondering, all the RP5s available over the past few months have mostly been the 12GB models, and since August, quite a few units have gone out with 120hz panels that need tinkering to use. To me, I think this is them using all the available supplies they have until they've exhausted them.

I highly recommend trying HakuX with this handheld and some Mr Purple turnip drivers. It's incredible how good Xbox emulation has become in the past month. I dare say, it's superior to GameCube and PS2 emulation on the same hardware. That emulator, along with recomps, has turned 2026 into an amazing year for retro gaming.

got one for 129.66 after tax shipped to California. Paypal pay in 4 gave extra $20 off.
I really hope we get the 12gb with 120hz variant. That would be sick.

Before tax the lowest I see is $145. I'm on the fence. I'm using the trimui smart pro. I've had it over a year, used it a bit in the beginning, then not at all for most of a year, and started using it again recently. Even changed the OS which was fun. But it still randomly crashes or freezes, which is a bit annoying.

8 GB version. (I'm performing a little good-luck ritual to get them to give us 12 GB)
