This URLIFE E20 looks like a budget fat tire cruiser that stands out for easy throttle takeoff, a step through frame, and practical extras like a rack and fenders. The 750 watt continuous motor with 1000 watt peak power is described as strong, with full throttle speeds around 27 to 28 miles per hour and a detachable battery that can be charged separately. Range depends heavily on use, with real world estimates closer to 15 to 20 miles at higher speeds and much more only with light assist and pedaling. The main cautions are inconsistent specs, a pedal sensor delay, and brakes that need frequent adjustment, making it a solid short trip ride rather than a long range commuter.

  • The throttle can propel the bike from a dead stop, which makes quick starts easier for errands and casual riding.

  • The battery can be detached for separate charging, which simplifies charging when outlets are limited.

  • The bike can reach about 28 mph on throttle, with a slower ramp after the first 20 mph.

  • The $55-off coupon worked for at least one purchase, and the bike is described as 750W continuous with 1000W peak.

  • Realistic range can fall well short of 80 miles, with estimates around 20 miles on battery and about 15 miles at full speed.

  • The listing specifications conflict on motor wattage, folding, and top speed, so buyers should verify the exact SKU and configuration before purchasing.

  • The pedal sensor can introduce a noticeable delay and surge before the motor engages or disengages.

  • Brake performance may require frequent adjustment, which can add maintenance time for daily use.

How do people feel about charging this in the house/apartment ? What're the general rule of thumbs here ? Not charging while one is sleeping ?

Important: URLIFE's descriptions conflict on whether the bike has a 500W or 750W rated motor, whether it folds, and whether it reaches 20 or 28 mph. These are not trivial differences. Request the exact model/SKU and specification sheet for the version you're purchasing.California distinguishes 20 mph throttle-assisted bikes (Class 2) from 28 mph pedal-assist bikes (Class 3). An E20 that provides throttle-only propulsion at 28 mph would not meet California's electric-bicycle classification. (Office of the Attorney General)Before buying the AliExpress version, verify that it is configured for a legally recognized class and has a permanent classification label.StrengthsA relatively large 624Wh battery for the price, comfortable wide tires, practical step-through frame, included rack and fenders, and generally positive early owner reports. Walmart buyers specifically mention straightforward assembly and satisfactory battery life. (Walmart.com)WeaknessesMechanical disc brakes, substantial weight, inconsistent product specifications, and questionable 80-mile range marketing. Some buyers report seat discomfort, lower-than-advertised speed, or extended charging times. (Ebike Oracle)Biggest unresolved concernIndependent evidence of battery quality, long-term motor/controller durability, replacement-parts availability, and actual UL certification is limited. A manufacturer's certification claim is not the same as independently verified certification.

Except there are 40 states that use the class system and many restrict class 3 bikes from bike paths, either through state law or local rules.

I have considered Ali Express as a fake site. I ordered from them years ago and never received the merchandise. I wasn't charged and couldn't reach customer service. I thought they were just to get your credit information. I am shocked people are still using them
Same here but I bought two e-bikes a smaller folding one for around 150 each and it was shipped from California to the East Coast I got it in 4 days free shipping. Since then I bought a lot of stuff from them they're pretty much like an Amazon. Some things come from China some don't it'll show you or tell you if it does

I wouldn't recommend getting this if you plan on using it as a bike only if you want an E-Bike

You are not getting 80miles. My 48v 750w 950w peak middrive bike on mostly flat terrain at an avg of 16mph avgd 30w per mile this week. This bike will be worse than that, expect 20miles on battery and add a couple more if you pedal a lot. If you dont pedal a lot and are sustaining 20+mph 15 is a reasonable safe range as voltage sag becomes a factor at low state of charge.

All that said, if the battery limitations are acceptable this bike was the one i was benchmarking against for price/perf before building my own for somewhere over $400.

you can detach the battery from the bike and charge it separately.
