I'd also say they are a bit over-hyped in the bass department. Anybody looking for skull-crusher levels of slam and punch will be a bit disappointed. It's more audiophile tuned bass where it's not really exaggerated or excessive. The hype makes these out to sound like fun machines and when you hear it for yourself, you WILL think something is broken with them which sends you down a dangerous rabbit-hole of never ending purchases searching for dacs and amps capable of bringing you to the promised land of audio nirvana. I've picked up plenty of amps at this point that meet the minimum requirements of the headphone all the way up to 8 watts into 50 ohms which in theory should be overkill. Whether I'm feeding this thing closer to 2-3 watts into 50hms to 8 watts, there was very little that changed in bass performance or overall quality of the headphone. The only thing that changed was the varied characteristics of the dozen or so dacs I tried with this and sometimes the amp but once I had enough to drive this guy, the experience was mostly the same.
In the end this whole experience was not worth it and I ended up just listening to the XS a lot more because it was far more comfortable and I could easily achieve way more satisfying and fun levels of bass out of it with iFi gear (double dose of Xbass with Xspace to balance it out a bit) than I ever could out of the 600seV2.
I'm rocking the XV now, which has similar results in the bass department but is just a nicer listen over the XS.
I'd say just keep your expectations in check going into this headphone.

So what amp did you guys settle on? Not much critical listening in my case; mostly for Movies and Shows.
I also have the IFI IDSD Finale. It was OK, but my sound improved quite a bit when I went with a speaker amp connected straight to the headphones. I used a Fosi V3 amp and the IFI IDSD Finale as the DAC. The Qudelix is not powerful enough; you need more than 2 watts (@50 ohms) to drive this beast. The more, the better...
In my opinion this headphone is overkill for movies and shows. It is also not very comfortable without mods.
