We have 4 decent sized power stations from 5kwh to 1kwh in size for the last ice storm we had without power for 3-4 days without power we ran a small generator ( westinghouse 2kw ish ) heavy gauge extension cords (2) through a window with towels and would just charge the Power Stations to 90% and then turn the generator off or swap to a different power station.
Didn't have to run the generator constantly maybe 8 hours total a day to recharge the power stations it kept 2 full sized fridges, deep freeze, phones/tablets/computers charged, TVs etc going, we even had hot water ( propane on demand system that uses minimal electricity ) and ran the septic pump one time a day.

would be nice if it can keep track of power in as well as power out.
