Kirkland Signature grass fed butter is a salted, creamy butter that melts well and comes in at a strong warehouse price. The current version is labeled product of Ireland and has a milder salt level than Kerrygold, with a grassy, slightly cheesy flavor and a new package shape without tablespoon markings. The salt makes it less ideal for ghee or unsalted recipes, and it is not as bold as Kerrygold. A solid everyday butter if you want good texture and value.
This salted butter melts very well and stays creamy for cooking uses.
This butter is reportedly less salty than Kerrygold while keeping a creamy texture.
This butter can work for rice, soups, and stews when salted flavor is acceptable.
This butter is reportedly good and can be a strong option at the $8.99 price point.
Salted butter can make ghee preparation harder because salt settles at the bottom.
The butter's origin and packaging reportedly changed from New Zealand to Ireland, which may affect flavor expectations.
The flavor profile can be more cheesy and grassy, and some comparisons prefer Kerrygold's different taste.
Salted butter may lead to more wastage than unsalted butter during use.
