This CyberPowerPC build is a high end gaming desktop centered on the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT, with 32GB of DDR5, a 1TB SSD, and liquid cooling. The parts pricing is framed as reasonable, with the GPU, CPU, RAM, and motherboard alone adding up to roughly the asking price before the rest of the system. The 9800X3D is described as the strongest gaming processor available, and the 9070 XT is treated as roughly on par with an RTX 5070 Ti for gaming. The main hesitation is that GPU prices may keep rising, so waiting for a better deal could be risky. It looks like a strong value if you need a system now.

  • The component cost breakdown suggests the $2199.99 price can be justified before counting the SSD and case.

  • The 9800X3D configuration uses a liquid cooler, which may add extra cost versus air-cooled alternatives.

  • The system can deliver a major upgrade for someone moving from an older gaming laptop.

  • The RX 9070 XT option may be competitive for gaming because performance is described as effectively a wash versus RTX 5070-class cards.

  • The bundle's effective savings versus buying the CPU separately may be only about $200 to $250.

  • GPU pricing expectations suggest waiting may not produce a cheaper option soon, especially if a system is needed immediately.

  • The Micro Center comparison is disputed, with gaming performance described as not better and GPU performance called a wash.

  • The liquid-cooling detail may vary across similar configurations, since another version is described as using only a basic fan cooler.

Isn't this gaming desktop a much better deal? https://www.microcenter.com/produ...zQ2NDA0ODk.
No, not for gaming. GPU's are a wash (AMD one has more VRAM, 5070 does path tracing better) . The AMD processor in the Cyberpower is the best gaming processor on the market.

That is $500 for the 5090, which is seemingly not available for less than $5k.

Microcenter is telling you it's over for the 5090, all listings are "not carried" except for the $10k ASUS ROG 20th anniversary edition. Best Buy doesn't have any to order.

5070 is going up $135, but it wouldn't be surprising if the board manufacturers double or triple that.

If someone needs something now, it might not be good to wait.

🎶 All your GPU are belong to AI.

yeah msrp increase is gonna be 3x at retail level though. 5080s are over 2700-ish right now, 5070 gonna be over 1.5k by year end if not higher, they're already mostly over 1k. 5070ti gonna 2.3-2.7k. It's super lame.

Best gaming at 1080p only. The 270k is the clear choice for anything above 1080p gaming. The 270k is twice as fast in productivity.

You are way off brother on all counts. The 9080X3D is the BEST processor for 1080p, 1440p and even 4K for gaming. The 9070XT hangs with and beats the 5070 TI on most games.
There are certain productivity tasks that the 270K does better, and certain tasks the 9800 does better. Bother are very good at productivity.

My kid wants a Gaming Computer to Mod Gorilla tag on his VR. This is way out of the budget of $1000 any body know of a good computer to get, or at least the specs. If figure closer to Xmas there will be sales.
Just get a ARC B580 and build it yourself. Less than $700 with decent graphics.

Same vram 16gb. Ram is slower on the micro center. Similar performance, but the 5070 Ti cost more.

Good catch on the vram. I was looking at the 5070...just the same, for gaming performance they are a wash. (5070ti vs 9070xt). Ram is NOT slower on the microcenter, it is 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM.

You are correct. It's a tough time for building your own PC. When building your own, you still have the advantage to pick higher quality parts, but it's super expensive. I've been building my own gaming computers the past 20 years, and this time around I decided to buy a prebuilt, because building my own was going to be much more expensive.

If you have a Microcenter near you. For me it would cost an entire tank of gas and 6 hours round trip.
