AM4 is still viable for budget builds, especially with DDR5 RAM prices. Good deal for entry-level gaming.

Think this combo is a good deal as well. Might pick it up for a future rig.

This plus an SSD would be more than adequate for multi-tasking work use, i.e. web browsing with up to 50 tabs open, Office apps, Zoom, media streaming, and zero gaming or video editing, right?

So you're saying my old PC I'm retiring with a 5600x, 16 gb DDR4, and 3060 to is worth quite a bit? I bought the Costco PC ($1500, 9800x3d, 5070, 32 gb, 2 tb) last year and forgot to return it in time, and now it's apparently the best deal around.

The processor in this bundle doesn't have integrated graphics, so you would need a separate graphics card.

Yo, what's up w/ the mods deleting my original comment? And w/ no fair warning either. All I mentioned was that you could buy way more affordable RAM in the "secondhand" market compared to what this deal is offering, and this same CPU and a more performant motherboard could be had for less in total.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

If you live within driving distance of a microcenter, the $250 5600x3d + gigabyte b550 motherboard + 16gb ddr4 3200 ram bundle is a FAR better value: https://slickdeals.net/f/20259720-ryzen-5-5600x3d-cpu-gigabyte-b550m-ds3h-ac-r2-mb-16gb-g-skill-ripjaws-v-ddr4-3200-ram-microcenter-in-store-bundle-249-99
The 5600x3d is on average a bit over 25% faster in gaming compared to the 5600x, so you're getting way better performance for $89 cheaper. You miss out on the "free" cpu cooler, but it's realistically worth at most $20.
