This Delsey two piece polycarbonate set stands out as a rare Costco price for a branded hardside carry on and checked bag combo, with a lighter build and a style that some prefer. The carry on dimensions are slightly larger than standard US airline limits, though airport sizers often allow a little buffer and the extra space may help packing. The main caution is durability, since the wheels have reportedly failed on multiple sets, and the carry on may be an outgoing clearance model at select stores. A nearby Traveler's Choice bundle is repeatedly framed as the stronger value for about ten dollars more.
A comparable Costco bundle for about $10 more is described as using YKK zippers and including compression cubes.
The carry-on dimensions may fit airport sizer tolerances better, which can help maximize packing space.
The set's clearance pricing may reflect an outgoing or clearance model cycle at select stores.
The advertised carry-on dimensions may exceed common US airline limits, which can create boarding or gate-check risk.
Wheels can break off within months of use, which can undermine long-term durability.
The $99.97 model may be a different Delsey variant than higher-priced sets, with visible molding differences.

That said buying luggage from Costco is a smart move because you can always return it

Would the ones in the stores be cheaper since there is no shipping factored in the price?
I really miss the old Delsy 70/30 suitcases
Original price is meaningless. When shopping always think it terms of net price - what you actually pay. Is it an unbelievable price. Well, it is rare that you get Delsey branded 2 piece polycarbonate set at that price.
That said, after consideration of all the factors, I strongly believe the Traveler's Choice 2 piece luggage, for only $10 more, in the link below, also from COSTCO, is a substantially better deal. Yes, substantially better.

More stylish?
Costco has this 3 piece for $199 now, but every at least 6 months, it throws in $50 off so if you wait you can get it for $149. It's on the heavier side but that reflects its quality construction.
