It has been that price for a few weeks. It is a pretty flimsy box but good for light stuff.

I got this 2 or 3 years ago. Its a decent box but I wouldn't have this shipped. Its super thin and flimsy and very easily banged up.

If you manage to get a good one its pretty solid to keep some basic tools in there but Need to make sure the drawer all work well and line up.

Otherwise I keep all my sockets in the top open part, wrenches and accessories in the small drawers and my battery wrenches in the both large drawer. One of my drawers was a little off and doesn't sit straight but it still works fine.

Unfortunately i bought it and keep it in the box for a while before i set it up and it was outside of the return window.

Agreeing with other posters, good quality and good price on a US made toolbox but don't get it shipped to your house, at worst get it shipped to the store and make sure it's not beaten to bejesus before taking it home. Generally every time you see a negative review on a Craftsman toolbox it's because of shipping damage.

Really hope we get a good combo deal this black friday. My toolbox was destroyed by movers and I really need to replace it.

IIRC their boxes come in a 1000 and 2000 series. I was looking at them years ago and this flimsy one had enough bad reviews and a look at it in the store flimsy with some reviews of the lower chest so bad saying it easily tips over. So I waited until a Husky or the 2000 was on sale. Forget which one came first. I wanted just the lower chest I already had an upper of random brand but good quality.

Got this one a couple years ago. It's not the exact box, but another box and cart in the 1000 series. If it's the same quality as these were then, yeah these get mystery dings. I have no idea how the cart and the back of the box got their dings, but in 2 years, some how they did. I use it for router bit and other misc bits storage and a couple routers in the bottom. Other than the mystery dings, it's just as good as the day I got it. Note that it gets moved 2 - 3 times a year for cleaning the floor, and actually used maybe 5 - 6 times a year. Decent enough for light duty purposes. For a main tool box that's going to get a lot more use, I would hold out for something more heavy duty.
