I think they were referring to this one, which has sadly expired: https://slickdeals.net/f/20081940 that being said, I am of the opinion that the existence of a better deal doesn't turn a good deal bad. This m4 mini could still be good for some.

Hold! The bubble is popping and it's only a matter of time before the market normalizes.

Sorry to rain on anyone's parade, but this is just wishful thinking with no basis in reality.

If you need a setup, get what works for you, because prices are probably going to keep increasing for a while before they have any hope of getting better. RAM supply is largely spoken for throughout 2028 already.

If you don't need a new setup, keep what you've got and hope it lasts at least 3 more years.

Jeez. Paid $400 just 10 months ago to run openclaw. Wish I would've bought a few more units then.

Apple just couldn't keep the price the same on old stock. Like their Gen 3 Apple TV 4k, they jacked up the price at end of life rather than do a normal fire sale to clear inventory. No wonder Apple has turned into such a greed machine!

RAM prices have more than tripled in recent years. It's not just Apple having to raise prices.

I think this was the last of the mac minis that the storage can actually be upgraded.
