The physical copy inside the store is not the foil limited edition. ($62.99)

I can think of three reasons.
Resale. Collectible. You actually own the game.

This digital Switch 2 version of Ocarina of Time is being praised for its beautiful visual overhaul, smooth gameplay, and faithful feel that still plays like the original with modern graphics. The more linear, peaceful structure makes it an easy pick for kids, casual players, or anyone wanting a relaxing game after work. The main drawback is the price, since cheaper routes exist through discounted Nintendo or Costco gift cards, and the deal can be finicky if the wrong fulfillment option is selected. It is a solid way to revisit a classic if convenience matters more than squeezing out the absolute lowest cost.

  • Fans who care about visual presentation, because the reimagining looks beautiful and the graphics update is striking.

    IndigoSweater9994FearsomeFlush

  • Players who want a smooth, modern-feeling version of the original, because the gameplay feels very smooth while still feeling like the classic game.

    IndigoSweater9994fvp1992

  • Families with multiple Switch 2 consoles, because a digital copy lets everyone play at once without cartridge swapping or arguments over who gets the game.

    SharpSnail2475

  • Players who want a calmer, more straightforward Zelda experience, because the game is easier to jump into and avoids weapon durability, cooking, and grinding.

    Slatergs

  • Players who want the most open-ended Zelda experience, because this release is more linear and offers less exploration and replayability than the newer entries.

    Slatergs

  • Collectors who want a physical display piece, because this listing is for a digital code and the physical copy is a different edition.

    NametoolongovichJr

  • Shoppers who need a guaranteed redemption experience for every recipient, because the code can fail for some people even when it works for others.

Worked for me and I shop at Walmart constantly
Same here. Also worked for two people at work I shared the code with and they shop there more than I do. The frustrating part was not really knowing why it didn't work for everyone.

Does anyone know if Costco has the physical game at the store?

Get physical at all costs
It's not the right choice for everyone. I have multiple Switch 2's in my house for example, and buying digital means multiple people can play at once. No kids moving tiny cartridges back and forth, no arguing over who gets to play.

Worked for me too, and I shop at walmart now and then. I think part of the issue might have been you had to add it to your cart as "delivery" and not "shipped" for the coupon to work. At least I remember it didn't work for me until I changed it to "delivery". Delivery means it will get "delivered" from your local walmart. They really should have a better way of differentiating the two.
