This OmniDesk is a compact Ryzen 7 8700G desktop that looks strongest for office work, media, light gaming, and general everyday use. The 8700G and its integrated graphics are described as capable of low end Minecraft, many DX12 games, and even 2K 60 fps in some titles, with the 65 watt power supply giving it a bit more headroom than similar mini PCs. The main limits are 16GB of memory, which is thin for local AI, and a case and power setup that may be awkward to upgrade. Open box wear on the SSD also showed up in one unit, so it suits buyers who want a small, capable machine more than a highly expandable one.
Office workers and media streamers who want a compact desktop, because it handles everyday work, movies, and light gaming well.
PC gamers playing modern DirectX 12 titles, because the 8700G can run them well and target 2K 60fps.
Tinkerers planning a low-power graphics upgrade, because the system can take a modest GPU like a 3050 or similar card.
Recording setups using USB microphones, because digital audio bypasses the computer's sound card.
Local AI builders running larger models, because 16GB system memory is too little without much more RAM and a GPU.
Upgraders who need easy power-supply swaps, because the motherboard uses proprietary connections and replacement can be challenging.
Users expecting lots of expansion room, because the chassis appears to have no expansion ports and only limited room for extra memory or storage.
Heavy sustained gaming in a cramped case, because the stock heatsink can hit thermal throttling around 95°C.

regarding the quality of recorded sound, as long as your mic (or other recording hardware connecting directly to the computer) is digital then it should sound just like the old computer. for example, if your microphone connects via USB port, it bypasses the computer's sound card and you don't have to consider whether the sound card is good enough.
