The nuggets are crazy small. Like half the size of a normal nugget.

For as much as they're advertising and bragging about their new nugget "formula" they're only okay, and only when they're at their best. Like so many low price commodity based items they make a hundred of them at a time and you have a 10-20% chance of getting something that can be called good, because they're awful when they're anything other than fresh. Maybe late night when they can't have bins of them sitting around is when to go, and wait?

McDonald's sometimes drops 6-nuggets-for-$1 coupons. The BK ones are almost half the size of normal nuggets. I'd guess you're getting roughly 5–6 regular nuggets' worth of meat for $3? Not really worth it.
And of course, if you're willing to buy frozen nuggets and cook them yourself, they'll be much cheaper.
