I see shipping as 5.99 with just the kit, but added these outlet bulbs (white only - dimmable) for 14.99 and it went to free shipping too

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Just know that these are the old/original 800 lumens.
Which I have always found to be dim.
Have these from some years.

Philips came with 1100 lumens some years ago as well. May have also launched another version of these earlier this year.

Just received an order placed on Philips for hue bulbs. They sent me a broken bulb. Like the box was broken, they taped the box up, and decided to ship thinking the customer won't notice.

I did the same thing. It is crappy that free shipping needed literally 1 more penny to kick in. I am always happy to find some Hue white bulbs for essentially $4.50 each though once you consider what you would have paid to ship the order without the white bulbs.

I expect to receive the 800 lumens, but I was able to change the model to 1100 before adding to cart. fingers crossed

I know one day i will finally take the plunge but I just want 100w equivalent and they are a small fortune. I have UCB brand bulbs now that are 130w equivalent and seem to be very bright and were so much cheaper and didn't need a bridge and they work off an app if alexa is freaking out. I figure by the time phillips gets affordable other brands will be just as good if not better.

Hue essentials are affordable. Hue is affordable on clearance. Not from Philips, though this is a good price. From HD, Lowe's, etc. Have to strike at lucky times. Early this year I got 4pk starter kits of the 1100lum bulbs for this price from Lowe's.

$25/bulb is close to the low for the 800s. I think I've seen them for 18 or 20. But this includes the bridge, making it a decent deal
