Vex is best value. One of the cards (Vex Apathetic) sells secondhand for $19~ itself because it's a staple.

As for the game itself, it's quite good (coming from MTG & Hearthstone), modulo some pretty annoying first-year mistakes with rules language that probably should have been avoided by learning from other games. I give them a pass for this first year of print; they seem to be adjusting quickly.

It borrows a lot of good stuff from Magic, plus:
* No landscrew / flood
* Wider (usable) decision space with relatively simple individual cards
* Not letting 1v1 standard die on the vine, good prizepools
* They claim to want to print regular cards to where they're not exorbitantly expensive secondhand—leaving cosmetic upgrades to those cards for collectors to chase. This year though they didn't anticipate demand and some staple cards are still expensive despite continuous printing.

Collector cons:
* Many TCGs die at around their second year. This game just pushed aside Star Wars from its banner position on TCGPlayer and has been very successful so far but could find itself pushed aside next year.
* Regular game cards are meant to be common/cheap enough for people to play with, meaning that most of the value (IF the game sticks around) will probably be in cosmetic variants, if that matters to you

Agreed on all points, fun game. WTF is this Best Buy queue system though? It eventually times out for me and kicks me back out of the queue.

Thanks for the heads up on the Vex deck, any opinions on the Zed/Shen thing? Ordered Vi for now and hoping Vex comes back in stock for the Dallas area. Never set an alert for Riftbound since I didn't know there could be sales.
