I think there are more controversial and misunderstood verses than that one...such example may be "for God so loved the world..." or the definition of "unconditional love".

But to comment (correct me if I'm wrong) the Christian God only strengthens someone when it is parallel to God's will and intention. It is not a license for anyone to use God as a shield to achieve his goals.

I believe that. Why? The entire bible is understood differently by thousands of groups of people. How do I know? If everybody understood it exactly the same as eachother, they'd all be the same religion, but instead there are literally thousands of different Christian denominations that all read the same book, but all interpret it a little differently from each other.

Basically every religion that reads the Bible (which is literally thousands) believes it is the one that understands it correctly.

As a Christian who voted straight Democrat ticket, cope for what?

Not to mention, one of the highest profile Dem winners, Talerico, is a seminary graduate who plans to become a pastor. Turning Texas blue certainly falls under "all things".
