I'm thinking about buying these and own a set of WF-1000XM5, but I'm mostly speaking from watching reviews...
From what I gather, the 30000' view is the Sonys have better sound isolation and likely better active noise cancelling and the Sennheisers have better sound quality. (The sound quality from the Sonys is very good by all accounts, as should be expected, but there's apparently room for improvement.)
A couple things to note about both of them...
● The Bluetooth codecs your phone supports may be a determining factor in which you'd want. If you're using iOS, my understanding is you're limited to SBC and AAC (which nearly all Bluetooth audio devices support). In addition to SBC and AAC, Android phones usually have LDAC - some also have various kinds of aptX (it may be a Qualcom thing, I'm not totally sure about that).
● XM6 has LDAC and LE Audio. Gemini seems to think supporting LE Audio automatically means Auracast is supported as well, but I'm pretty sure it's wrong about that.
● MTW5 have aptX, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless. There's a belief that LE Audio and Auracast support are totally coming in a future firmware release, but who knows if that's ever going to actually materialize.
● XM6 comes with foam covered ear tips that passively block sound better but some people find to be uncomfortable. Personally, I bought some replacement tips on Amazon for my XM5 headphones. (I got AZLA (brand) "MAX TWS6" tips - I like them better.)
● MTW5 have user-replaceable batteries in both the buds and the case.
● I think the water resistance rating of the Sonys is better.
The post says the $100 coupon is applied in cart, so the product page price may not match until you add it. Worth checking the cart total before writing this one off.

Here's a video from someone who has actually used either of them...
