I've been looking for one of these for a project with my shed for months now and keep missing the sales on the Dewalt. I hadn't seen the Klein one before, but it looks like it has everything that's seen as beneficial for this tool: 350lb capacity, 10" lift, hands-free use (with your foot), and non-marking covers if using it indoors.

Regular price is listed as $89.98, so $20 off -- bought two for $139.96 before tax because I need both for the shed. It looks like the sale price lasts into January, and I'll keep an eye out for any reduction or coupon on this one or the Dewalt during the upcoming season.

Lowes has the Jorgensen 400lb version on sale as well (I just posted it $59.98). I like that the Klein has the trigger in a direction where you could step on it with your foot to jack it up. But seems like the Jorgensen may have a few more metal parts in its construction. I'll have to check this out next time I'm in store. Cheers

I hadn't seen that Jorgensen before -- interesting. The only thing that gives me pause is the inability to use it "hands free," though how often that is required isn't something I can answer. It's definitely a solid choice though, a full 50lbs more lift than the Klein which is already better than the other competition. And $10 cheaper, so $20 for the pair. Hmm.

Thanks -- I was confident about my purchase and am now second-guessing it. 😃

It doesn't look like the height extension attachment that just came out for the DeWalt would fit the Klein. I think that accessory really expands the usefulness of the DeWalt so you might want to still go for DeWalt instead.
