Mal: laugh out loud I never said I was educated in college. But I learned a lot. Everyone experiences college in different ways. I can't think of two people who went the same path in college.

yea, of course, in your mid-40's you'll experience college at a more intellectual level than those 18-22 year old, but keep in mind, you are in the same class with 18-22 year olds while you're 40 years old, Mal. Whistling

aren't you like 14? don't worry your pretty little head yet. Just find a nice suit for homecoming.

Says who? Dontknow

I'm not finding it any harder than I did my freshman year when I was 18. Again, I'd say that's another myth about college.

When you're 25, you're less likely to be able to drop everything and go spend the thousands needed to attend a college, whereas when you are 18, you usually aren't married, have kids, a full-time job, etc. That's why people say it's harder to go back. Maybe not mentally, but when you're 25 it's usually almost impossible to drop everything and live in a dorm and go to class for 4-6 hours a day.

You know for a fact I'm not that much older than them. And yes, people do experience it in different ways. But I know people who graduated with degrees at 22 in a field they now HATE.

Yeah, I'll take my scenario over that one a million times over, thank you very much. I can't imagine how depressing it'd be to still have 10 years to go in paying student loans for a degree in a field you don't even want to be in.

And yeah, I'm in the same classes as the 18-22 year-olds - but who do they ask for help when they don't understand the material? Moi. Eyelash

And college isn't the farking olympics - you're not obsolete and your talents don't expire once you turn 25. laugh out loud

That's the fabulous thing about being married young and having a kid - my income is not high enough where I have to pay for much of anything. laugh out loud I mostly get enough grants to cover my tuition and books. I would NOT have had such a luxury when I was 19-22. In fact, I spent several painful years paying off the student loans I had to take out that freshman year of college. Covereyes

That was an incredibly painful lesson. I'm just glad it wasn't 4 times as much. LMAO

So yeah, it was easier to get some quiet time when I needed to study when I was single, and I didn't have to listen to Sesame Street playing in the background, but for me, this path has proven to be a great deal more valuable. And because I have to work harder in juggling my schedule and whatnot, I appreciate it that much more.

I'll make a note of them when I reach your age. Wink

Have you not seen the commercials?
Medicare now pays for new catheters to use every time you change them

or is it Medicaid? I don't remember which is for old and which is for poor
