Called the closest vet in the area. Someone came in a few days ago with a sheltie. The vet is trying to get in touch with the lady. They will call me back.
I'm sitting in Starbucks b/c the painters are still at my house. Next door is a Curves gym for women. Three upper-middle-aged ladies came in after their workout & are sitting at a table nearby putting their heads together over their iPhones. One of them is a genius compared to the others but she keeps giving them bad information & they're struggling over things like adding contacts, composing email, changing auto-lock settings, etc.
The OCD part of me wants to tell them what they're doing wrong. The IT Guy part of me doesn't want anything to do with this mess. The BOFH part of me wants to give them REALLY bad information and set them up to fail, painfully.
I'm very conflicted right now.
A lady picked her up on Monday in the area. She didn't have a back yard so she gave her to a neighbor that does. She is calling her now to arrange for us to meet.
She said she had several folks that were interested in her but didn't know what to do.
So excited. The neighbor took her to the vet to get her checked out so I will offer to pay for the vet bill.

She'll stay in the rest of the day. DW will probably walk her on a leash when she is outside.
What irks us, the lady that we originally got her from said she never runs off, she stays in the yard. What a crock of poo.
