Do you deliver? Big Grin I've only ever had the frozen pierogi that you get at the grocery store.

i would love to taste your dough drool
1) Alas, no. Stick Out Tongue However, I have frozen it and it turns out quite well.

2) That sounds potentially suggestive. . . nah. Must be talking about the pasta.

yeah, they're similar and resemble each other. pelmeni is boiled, but pierogi (at least the ones here) are baked or deep-fried(?). Big Grin

there's a great place that does pierogi in pike place market and another that has good pelmeni and borst soup. Smilie

Huh. Ok, odd. My dad has always called it pierogi, but your description pelmeni sounds a lot like what I do. I boil it, then I pour browned-off butter over it.

I get in very odd food moods....lately I've just been wanting junk foods i.e. bread, tortilla chips (plain) and crackers....and I'll just make a meal out of them laugh out loud

linky [wikipedia.org]

Quote :
Pelmeni belong to the family of dumplings, and are related to Ukrainian vareniki and Polish pierogi – a variety of dumpling filled with mashed potatoes or cottage cheese.

the only difference in pelmini and pierogi (that i can see) is what you stuff them with Dontknow
