It will be a turtle cheese cake modified basically, I've done them before. Nilla wafer and butter crust, then a layer of caramel, snickers chopped up on top of that, then the cheesecake batter - regular plain cheesecake with snickers mixed in -, then more caramel and chopped up snickers on top.

yummy

I used to do lots of cheesecakes pre-brain-injury but now I have plenty of occasions where I leave stuff in the oven a bit too long or don't hear the timer go off...and with a cheesecake a little too long means a lot too long Teehee Pretty sure one sliver of this thing could take up an entire day of WW points Smilie

Well, yum. I have never made a cheesecake. Ya know why? I don't have a spring form pan. You'd think that sometime in the 27 years I've been married, I would buy one. LMAO

I do believe we may be having what my daughter calls the Oreo cake for Thanksgiving. It's triple chocolate fudge 2 layer cake. The cake is "frosted" with twinkie filling, chocolate curls on top. We prefer it chilled. Absolutely nothing to do with Oreos -- she said it looks like one that's inside out. This is her birthday cake every year and I had to make them for her graduation party.

Okay, I exchanged Qs with someone on one of the T threads and the person was asking for Good Start Qs...and now I cannot for the life of me figure out who it was. I only have one $5 Q, but whoever it was, PM me and I'll send it your way.

I haven't been to target. My 2 year old is driving me batty ass crazy. I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open but I'll take that instead of a panic attack any day.

I need a cheap wall mount for a flat screen TV. Think *gasp* walmart is cheaper?
What size TV? Most we found were $50 or more except for a seller on Amazon. With shipping it was $27ish, for a 46 inch TV.

What caramel do you use? When I do the caramel on the crust, or even a layer half way in the cheese cake (it sinks), I end up with super sticky crust that is like cement on the bottom of the pan. I have actually mixed the caramel in the cheesecake mix and/or poured it over top. This is the one thing I can't figure out when it comes to my cheesecakes.

Oh, and FTR - I have not had a brain injury and I am ALWAYS leaving the oven/stove on and/or forgetting something. Frown

Well, while it won't be as purtiful as one in a spring form pan, you could just do it in a regular cake pan.

Well, you could possibly line the pan with that paper that's not wax paper but for some reason my brain can't think of what it's called... Anyway, I think you could do that, chill well or freeze, and then pop it out of the pan with relative ease.

Me Too! I'm barely 40 and have been leaving things like the stove burner on low once every few months and my husband is sure I'm going to burn the house down someday.

I'm sure I will too... I guess that's why I freak out when DD/DH throws a towel on the stove top or too close to the stove. I can just imagine what will happen some day. Frown

Dieters, SLOWTECH -- listen up -- We went to Applebees where cheating seriously crossed my mind. (Get your mind out of the gutter, it didn't involve a man, it involved food). But then I heard all these internet voices.... So, I ordered the Applebee's steak. Subbed a salad instead of potatoes, dressing on the side, barely used any. Couldn't even tell I had touched the little cup.

Ok SLOWTECH are you listening?? I ate the damned steamed broccoli (3 or 4 pieces). I ate a couple pieces of that nasty ass zucchini. I wasn't sure about the carbs in zucchini, so I didn't want too much -- that and it's GROSS. I ignored the carrots -- too many carbs and they are as bad as zucchini.vomit

Applebee's doesn't know how to cook their veggies. Zucchini is one of my all time favorite veggies when cooked right. 1/4-1/3" slices lightly covered in olive oil and a dash of salt cooked under the broiler until starting to brown then flip. Toss with cherry tomatoes cooked under broiler the same way as well as some lightly sauteed onions & bell peppers. Yummy! drool

I am NO vegetarian but I've been known to live off the above for days at a time when the veggies are in season.

I won't. I will be good. I'm sitting here now having a nice glass or water, a low carb "roll", and piece of string cheese. Yum yum. I think we might have our version bacon cheeseburgers for supper. Our version would be that the bacon is "ground" up and mixed in with the beef. Yes, no carb. .5 - 1 carb for the fake bun. A little for onion. I love onion. EDIT: I have to add one more carb -- I will be having a Kraft American Single on my burger.

Hubby may be gone tonight. It's always kind of been if he's not here I don't cook or we fix something he doesn't really like. It's harder on the diet -- most of that quick stuff is not exactly diet friendly. I think we will proceed with the burgers.

Maybe we should rename us the Forgetful Target Chit Chat Dieters (who discuss recipes we can't eat)

could just do it in a regular cake pan.
Stop wrecking my excuses. Wink

Parchment Paper and I should own stock in the stuff. And why is it that no one makes it except Reynolds? There are rarely coupons for it either. I need a knock off cheap brand.
