They are basically saying that if you blog or have a facebook account then that means they can classify you as a journalist since you are reporting on real-time events. With that classification, then your info is fair game for them to sell to any one.

Wait, what does Google have to do with Facebook? If you have a Gmail account and that's your Facebook email, then you're screwed?

Pretty much. Anything you log in to with your gmail email account is fair game. They are all linked. If you have your gmail associated with SD, anything you say here is associated with your email.

OK my gmail is associated with all the bills I pay online, what about that stuff?

I don't mind changing the email account associated with Facebook and Slickdeals.

Well they can't share that stuff, but IMO, if someone wants that info they are going to get it regardless of a privacy policy.

So technically, if I remove my Gmail account from any of that stuff (FB, SD, etc) then they can't sell any of my information. Right?
