Almost all free photo books are considered "dollar" rewards. You can tell by reading the fine print that says - offer is good for a free 8x8 but value can also be applied against the purchase of a different sized book.

$20 offers are also considered "dollar" rewards and you can only use one "dollar" type offer per order.

When they give out freebies such as ornaments or address labels, etc. these are called promos and can be stacked on the same order.

Two companies that still have promo photo books are Bing and My Coke Rewards. If you get a code from them for a free photo book, their terms and conditions say "offer is good for size 8x8 or 8x11 photo book and may NOT be applied to other size books." those are promo codes and you can stack one of these with one dollar 8x8 book code.
