Dog chew toys that don't get them in trouble: Add your dog's favorites! (Thanks, daisee)
1. Fun stuff
- We leave empty cardboard boxes for the dogs to chew up. Also these loofah bones (cleans their teeth while they rip them apart) and TONS of cat toys (with catnip). (from veritableqndry)
2. Hard-to-destroy stuff
-At dollar tree they carry "milkbone" toys... she beats the hell out of them and still they hold up. (not to mention their only a buck if they destroy them) (from wakethewicked2)
- I've had good luck with these -- the avatar dog has destroyed everything but this kind. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can put treats inside for them to dig out: http://www.petmountain.com/produc...-kong.html . I get mine at a local farm store, but I'm sure you could get them at places like Pets Mart if you don't want to buy online. (from callpocket)
- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:

- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:
- Busy Buddy bouncy bone - We gave up on the rawhide inserts. She rips those out in seconds but likes the toy without them anyhow and cannot kill it.)
- Everlasting treat ball -Again she pulls out the expensive inserts right off the bat...but she likes bouncing the toy. You can also hide dog kibble in the middle for the dog to try to get out, which entertains him for awhile. She hasn't managed to rip this one at all yet even though it feels soft and flexible.
- Jolly Ball: - Ours is bigger than the one at this link. It's hysterical to see her stick her snout in the hole and wave the ball in the air. It's bigger than her head. She runs around the house with it on her snout, growling and acting like a maniac. I don't know why she can't chew it up, but she can't.
- Then there are big Nylabones, which she can kill eventually. But they take a long time to die. (from olu)

Ew.
Was a while ago ^_^
She thought it was great for about an hour. Now she's cranky and tired of being a nanny dog. She falls asleep in heap the minute we put him in his crate to give her a break. Reminds me of what life was like for our old male lab when she arrived as a puppy. She's getting to see life on the other side of the fence now

I love dogs and puppies.
I think a few of my students are a bit concerned that I might steal their dogs, because of the way I go on about how adorable they are.

They are both simply gorgeous and sweet looking.

Yep, she is a golden: sweet, silky and sneaky. Here she is on her 2nd birthday when I thought she'd turn automagically good: http://a.slickdeals.ne
Is yours a golden too?

No, mine isn't but I grew up with one and my brother had 2 of them. Great dogs!
At least the records are ok this time. But still. I hereby revoke all the nice things I've said about her this winter.
Bad, bad dog.
She's a gorgeous little dog though.
Our other foster hasn't eaten anything and isn't remarkable to look at. She was heavily abused before she came to us, and bonds pretty intensely to guys. The second dog in this picture is a crazy ass boxer who stayed with me over christmas. She hates people that wear hats. She also plays by sticking her head in the couch and flipping over to throw her butt at you.
Our personal dog was a foster, but we liked him so much he is ours now. He's a big fluffy white thing who loves to sit on you. This is him being mopy at my girlfriend's birthday party.

Your own dog is a cutie. Watch out though--word is that dogs will wreak revenge on you when you make them wear party hats
My dog has been very good this weekend. Ate nothing but dogfood. Who knows what she'll take out next time, though.
