Dog chew toys that don't get them in trouble: Add your dog's favorites! (Thanks, daisee)

1. Fun stuff
- We leave empty cardboard boxes for the dogs to chew up. Also these loofah bones (cleans their teeth while they rip them apart) and TONS of cat toys (with catnip). (from veritableqndry)

2. Hard-to-destroy stuff

-At dollar tree they carry "milkbone" toys... she beats the hell out of them and still they hold up. (not to mention their only a buck if they destroy them) (from wakethewicked2)

- I've had good luck with these -- the avatar dog has destroyed everything but this kind. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can put treats inside for them to dig out: http://www.petmountain.com/produc...-kong.html . I get mine at a local farm store, but I'm sure you could get them at places like Pets Mart if you don't want to buy online. (from callpocket)

- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:
  • Busy Buddy bouncy bone - We gave up on the rawhide inserts. She rips those out in seconds but likes the toy without them anyhow and cannot kill it.)
  • Everlasting treat ball -Again she pulls out the expensive inserts right off the bat...but she likes bouncing the toy. You can also hide dog kibble in the middle for the dog to try to get out, which entertains him for awhile. She hasn't managed to rip this one at all yet even though it feels soft and flexible.
  • Jolly Ball: - Ours is bigger than the one at this link. It's hysterical to see her stick her snout in the hole and wave the ball in the air. It's bigger than her head. She runs around the house with it on her snout, growling and acting like a maniac. I don't know why she can't chew it up, but she can't.
  • Then there are big Nylabones, which she can kill eventually. But they take a long time to die. (from olu)

What hasn't he eaten? We're still paying off the $600 vet bill for the slab of chocolate slice. You've never seen a dog like ours. It's now official. He's Licorice, Australia's Naughtiest Dog.
He sounds dreadful Smilie You must be very fond of him. Welcome and good luck on your eBay posting. He looks sort of scary with his eye glowing like that....

Oscar finally chewed apart his Kong. He's had it for about a year... but he chewed off the smallest section finally.

Man... he's currently under my desk losing his mind. He hates lightning/thunder and it's storming like mad right now.

I had him panting into my crotch for the last 15 minutes while I made up songs to sing to him.

I don't think he ever had a problem with it before we had that really bad lightning storm that blew out half the household electronics. And it's possible that the wife and I screaming and running through the house was really the source of the anxiety. laugh out loud

EEK! Glad she's ok. Having a dog can be like having a forever-toddler in the house.

Biker Eric, the fix-it dude of the lounge, and his wife have spoiled Gus with so many Milk Bones. Today, I would not give him one, so he went to the couch and dug one out of the couch. Later when I was outside, he went in the tall grass, came back with another one. He has been so spoiled.

If he's smart, he'll have a whole package of them stashed under those cushions Smilie
