I can't believe the season is starting already. Not likely to watch qualifying live tonight, there's a late band at sxsw that I want to see. Maybe tomorrow night oomph watch the race live, though

actually, I got the day wrong for the band I want to see Doh there tends to be some confusion when bands have sets at 1:00am, you need to figure out if the showcase/event they are in for the night before, or its just the set time for the band themselves (sometimes it's listed both ways).

I've been out most of the afternoon, I may or may not have it in me to even try to go out again tonight, i'm not sure how much I care about the people playing tonight.

I watched the practice yesterday and not much happened. IT rained and then it dried but nobody was out there on low fuel running fast.

Mclaren look good on speed this year. The merc engines must be doing good, Force india is fast as well.. Caterham looked good for a mid pack team.
Ferrari said they would be a dog but it's not apparent yet.

Q3 is streaming online around 10pm ish. LIve streams can be found online if you look up european streaming sites like soccer sites or p2p4u type sites. I'm just going to painfully watch speedtv due to laziness.

You know what I like about F1? They don't have to use a giant hair dryer to blow dry the track like the Girly NASCAR people do. nod

this is kind of like a high tech version of the SR-71 blackbird. the blackbird leaked continuously on the ground, but worked great at speed in the air. Similarly, the F1 cars need a steady flow of air to keep the brakes cool and the engine from exploding, and not much air goes by when they are standing still

The F1 drivers know how to negotiate corners (both left and right ones) in the rain and the fans know the rain adds to the technical difficulty of the race. Which makes it more challenging and more exciting. Big Grin
