I suppose can continue the conversation from the Funniest Pics thread here, along with any other car talk..
That enzo is awesome. I spotted a 599GTO at F1 as well. There were a few people leaning up against it taking pics. If I was the owner I'd have been pissed.
BMW is bringing back the straight 6 for 2013 (or maybe 14).. They're doing a twin turbo version in the name of fuel economy. There was rumor about there being a third turbo in there too.
The SLS is pretty nuts, I have seen a couple on the streets and they sounds almost musclecar-ish. I also saw an Enzo at the car show (it was actually Cars & Coffee in Irvine CA which is pretty well known). I would like an older M3, the last one that had the inline-6. I have never been in one but they seem like they would be a lot of fun. Not really practical in New England though.
We should start an official "Car Chat" thread. |

I did a Groupon "Exotic car track day" locally, it was actually at Gillette stadium. I got to drive for about 5 mins in an F430, but a 599 was one of the choices. I said "Give me mid-engine or give me death!" It was expensive for a 5 minute thing, but I would say it was definitely worth it. It was pretty fun - didn't get to go more than 65mph or so, based on the track layout, but the handling was amazing. I was suprised I could fit in one - had to wear a helmet, and I am 6'3" already.
WTF would BMW do with 3 turbos for 6 cylinders? Use a sequential system, or actually have tiny turbos that only feed 2 cylinders?

My dad was invited by Jaguar out to Gillette earlier this year for a driving experience with some of their high end performance models. Said he had an absolute blast.
I'm going to MotoGP in March myself. Tix are much more reasonable than they were for F1. I also planning on at least going to the Australian V8 supercar series in May.

I heard about the Jaguar driving, sounded pretty sweet. They do a lot of stuff there, giant parking lots that are perfect.
I wish I was closer to a more mainstream track. Lime Rock in CT is a bit too far. I have been there once, thought, for the SRT Track Experience - one of the best driving days I ever had - http://www.drivesrt.co
It's worth a shot, but I think he's working too much to hang out with us.

Did his GF drive a blue truck?
Like something with some half-naked chick posing with a truck or something?
