the tragic shooting has nothing to do with the president, gun laws, military, etc.. so it'd be much appreciated if we can all grieve and share our sadness together, without the controversial off topic mumble jumble that will get others riled up. so no trolling please. kthx.

Names have been released. I couldn't make it to the end without crying.
State police released the names of the victims of an elementary school shooting spree in Newtown, Conn. on Saturday, per the Associated Press [ap.org]: All six adults killed at the school were women. Of the 20 children who were shot to death, eight were boys and 12 were girls. All the children were ages 6 or 7.The state's chief medical examiner, Dr. H. Wayne Carver, told reporters the children he examined all had "three to 11 wounds apiece." "I believe everybody was hit more than once," he added. The complete list, via ABC News [go.com]: Charlotte Bacon, 6 |

When school resumes for Sandy Hook, it will be in a new building. Parent-volunteers are working to ensure that the students are welcomed back by a winter wonderland with the entire school decorated with as many unique snowflakes as possible. We encourage senders to be as creative as possible, remembering that no two snowflakes are alike. Please make and send snowflakes by January 12, 2013 to the Connecticut PTSA at:

I usually try to address issues and explain things to my son..i did give him facts and had to leave it at that because i just couldnt keep it together....his last day before chistmas break was that friday..and driving up to the school to get him and seeing all the kids just being kids around the school made my heart break even more for those families...
I know the gun debate is intensifying...and knee jerk is to get rid of them all...or to arm every one...i am in disbelief with the suggestion to arm teachers....but this was one sick person who did this...there are many responsible gun owners and we have not descended in total chaos...we still drive on the right side of road, can go shopping at kmart,...pick up dogs from kennell, travel to see friends and family...get nails done..ect...live and love our lives as best we can...that is really all we can do....
My ramblings for the day...god bless everyone...
