I'm trying to find some reviews/specs that show nits (brightness) and I can't find any. rtings doesn't have any reviews of this model, the other reviews online don't actually give useful details.

Stay away from Roku at all costs. Even if you don't use it, it will invade your TV HDMI inputs

yeah, nobody should buy Roku for that reason alone. Even before this Roku was pretty bad with ads all over the smart tv interface, but HDMI is just wild

You can disable this, no? I've had a roku TV recently that I turned it off on.

even if you can turn off today, its becoming more and more clear that Roku will remove those options

Don't get a Roku. It forced you to agree to an arbitration agreement that you needed a remote for. Couldn't even turn it off or do anything with the TV buttons until you accepted it.

You're not going to find real info on it, unless someone has their own tools to do readings. This is a super low-end TV. Rtings doesn't usually review unpopular budget TVs. Philips has been a joke of a brand in the TV space for years, now. On top of that, this is a 65" TV that normally retails at just $500. That's way too low a price to get anything decent that's also this size. Even some Samsung QLEDs only have around 700 nits. I'd be surprised if this was more than 500 nits.

The ads are everywhere now, can't watch a movie or a game without having to watch multiple ads that are not relevant to me over and over again. Or while watching something on Snapchat you have to pause to watch their ads. Its annoying but Roku just jumped on a wagon like everyone else, can't blame them.
I was considering buying a Roku tv but this seems like a better deal for the money.

Guess you missed the part where this person said, "Rtings doesn't have any reviews of this model."

Rtings doesn't review most super low-end unpopular TVs like this. Philips is one of the worst brands in TVs these days. It's time for them to exit the market. They haven't been a competitor in over a decade.

Even if you can disable it now, we're talking about software. Companies get you hooked on their product with plans push a software update to screw you over later.
