Ok my local Firestone said $15 to install. But Kirkland gives 100 month warranty, 36 month replacement, and 500 cold cranking for 69.99... I guess Firestone[firestonecompleteautocare.com]'s "Mega-tron II" battery sorta compares...but Costco has the better price and warranties, wish they did the install too. I read online "Johnson Controls makes Diehard (Sears), Duralast (AutoZone), Interstate, Kirkland (Costco), Motorcraft (Ford), and some EverStarts." so I guess they are comparable quality wise.. So I think I'll go learn how to install the battery myself. Can't be harder than replacing the wiper pump/motor on a BMW... right? LOL.
Also remember that Firestones standard oil change is a SYNTHETIC BLEND oil, which makes it much better than most competitors similar coupons....you can find $20-25 oil changes at alot of places, but you wont get syn-blend for that price.

Installing a battery takes about 5 minutes. I'd do it myself in the parking lot, then take the old battery back in to be recycled.
The oil change does not include the disposal fee of $2.50.
Also, the reminder sticker they put on the windshield it says next change due in 3000miles (I thought the synthetic blends would do more than that).
(Manufacturer recommended is 5000)

Thanks for the vote of confidence. found this vid[youtube.com] that helped too, should be easy on my old Civic. No fancy alarms etc to worry about.
It is fairly easy. I too bought battery for my civic 2000 from Costco, looked up online and changed the battery in 5-10 mins. The only problem I had was that I didn't have the right spanner, borrowed it from my neighbur
Check what is their full price. I had my civic 2000 brake pads replaced for around $99.99 + taxes with $30 off coupon last year, when the regular price was 129.99. When I shopped around at that time, no one else came closer to that price.
