How long has the Contribution Coins program been going on? Why am I just now realizing it exists?

I have no idea how to get to the "dashboard" on the old site so I never would have found where to redeem the points without the email link.

So how long has this been a thing?

It just takes me to the main slickdeals page. Even when I type it in manually. I'm not too fussed, I expect I've got nothing since I don't contribute anything beyond a bunch of postwhoring Prop

I just got the two tye dye shirts that I ordered with the contribution points. They're pretty long and the 2XL has a bunch of room to spare. They're from a company called Shaka Streetwear. They're kinda starchy/stiff so I'll probably wash them before trying to wear.

They came from a fulfillment company in NC.
