Comcast [comcast.com] Internet Only Performance (25 mps) $19.99/mo for first 6 months then $ 34.99 year exisiting (and new) customers - YMMV

I was paying $64.99 since my original promotion ended.

When I called to cancel and switch to ATT. The retention department said they can offer me $10 off for the next 6 months, I told them that was still high and asked if there were any other promotions.
Came back with Performance for $19.99 for first 6 months and $34.99 after that.

I called 18665941234

I am in Chicago (Westen suburbs)

good lucklook around

$35 a month for 25 Mbps speed? That's great! I've heard a lot of hate towards Comcast though. I hear they have really bad speed in the evening time. The place where I live has only 1 Internet provider. It's 12 Mbps for $40 a month. And it was only 3 Mbps a few months ago, they finally upgraded.

i've had comcast perfomance for about 2 years now and never had any problems with speed. always getting 22-25 mps. The only times I had slow speed, I would reset my modem and that resolved the problem. ( i was paying $64.99 for last 9 months though)

Might try this tonight. I'd be happy to go back to what I was paying before, $45 a month, rather than the $65 I'm paying now. I was thinking about jumping on the blast and tv deal for $5 more but since I don't really watch tv it would be a waste.

I've always had consistent speeds on Comcast any time of the day.

I wonder if this would work for a new install in Maryland. I'll have to give this a try when I move.

I need to try this in Atlanta. My Performance internet is getting ready to jump from 44.99 to 64.99.

Did you have a special AT&T offer in hand when you called?

careful with comcast. i got into some heated debates with them after some stupid rep lying and selling me a performance starter package internet at 6mbps down instead of performace at 25mbps. Asked the rep 5 times if it is performance at 25mbps for 24.99. Answered yes. Ask if there are contract and expiration for the promo. Answered no to both.

Found out later after running a speed test that the promo was 6mbps at 24.99 for only 6 months.
Wasted three hours trying to get someone to change pricing. Refused/ made excuse about pulling up the phone conversation on the sales rep.
Worse company ever. No one could adjust the price afterwards or offer a comparable offer.
No customer loyalty from this company. Call loyalty department 3 times. All three times reps encouraged me to leave comcast and go with ATT and said we are sorry we cant offer you any lower pricing.
Ending up canceling and opening another account in a different name just cause its comcast or the highway here.
Just play the game with them. After your promo ends, cancel the internet and have another family member open a new account.

Dont get screwed and waste your time. they offered me 19.99 for the first 6 months too but that was also the performance "starter" package. Be very cautious.

I've had more problems with Comcast than I care to type up. My only advice is to check your bill or they'll "forget" to give you the promotional price.

As stated by others, I also had bad experiences with Comcast's "promo". After the first 3 months at $20, they raised the price, even when they promised to keep it at $35. There was no way to make them change it. I called numerous times, and I even went to the local office. No dice. It was full price or nothing. As I needed Internet for work I accepted. Now I am in an area where I can choose from several providers, and I am not in Comcast anymore. Just my personal experience.

Bay Area existing customer was just offered the blast (50mbps) and basic TV for $49.99 first six months and no contract... no go on any sort of internet only promotion for existing customer.

Last time I had a similar experience with Comcast and vowed to never get any service from them again. The salesman came knocking at the door and promised me all kinds of deals for TV + internet, without changing my current bill which was around $100 (4 to 5 years ago). The first bill I got was over $200 for one month. Called them a few times, but they won't admit that I was given that deal. Cancelled everything and promised myself to never go with them again.

Now this is tempting, but I maybe in contract with AT&T for u-Verse internet.
