I've been trying to find a good deal on some tires for the old Man Van, my Excursion with a 1/4 million miles. Of course didn't want to spend too much money since the old girl is nearing the end of her life. After tons of price matching, shopping, research, and negotiation my overall cheapness prevailed. $640 for a set Cooper Discovery ATP Load Range E tires is an awesome deal out the door.
I was just shopping for tires at
Discount Tire Direct's eBay store [ebay.com] and went to price compare from the local
Discount Tire [discounttire.com] store. The local discount tire said the price match so I called the nearest store and he said they would price match the online Discount Tire Direct eBay stores price. When I tried to find a cheaper price online I found
Discount Tire Direct [discounttiredirect.com] website which Discount Tire will also price match.
Discount Tire Local Out the Door Price: $839.67
Price Matched to Discount Tire Direct Out the Door Price: $640
Both prices include mounting, balance, tire disposal fees, taxes, valve stems, and tires. The online price for tires from Discount Tire Direct was $571 and the local shop charged an additional $69 to mount, balance, disposal, stems, etc.
Hope this helps out some other people. I attached my shopping carts to show the price difference. I'm sure you can get deals on lots of other tires. This also saves everyone from ordering tires online, having them shipped to your house, and having to load them in your car to get them mounted at the local tire shop.
Discount Tire Direct charges sales tax for items shipped to: AZ*(9.3%), OH*(7.0%), TX*(8.25%)
Sorry if this is sloppy, it's one of my first posts. I tried so take it easy on me.

I'll have to call sam's club and find out if it's more for installation or anything else...
Nobody expects they'll have to do an evasive maneuver, but if you do, it would be nice to have tires that allow you to maintain control.
I have a Lexus gs430 (they all have really bad camber wear). I have tried Goodyear, Michelin, continental, and Pirelli. They were all trash in 20k to 30k. I finally decided to just get some cheapo's. Primewell pz900 from hibdon tires plus. Super cheap good handling and i have put 30k on them with no camber wear. Dont ask me cuz i dont know, all i know is when these wear out i will get another set.
Example: 4 tires total:
A matched set 225&245\45\18 for right at 300 plus tax. That includes mount\lifetime balance\tpms kits. Cant really beat it. They perform as well as perelli nero runflats and they dont prematurely die from high camber sports cqrs. Lexus, bmw, 350z, 370z, Audi, ect
