So what have you done with the battery? Did you just get a jump start and drive around to charge it up, or put it on a battery charger?
The simplest solution here is probably to not listen to FM radio Prop
But I'd probably recommend ensuring the battery has a good, full charge, and if so, then disconnect it for at least ten minutes.
Jumped the battery the night it died, drove around for ~45 minutes to charge it back up. It's been good for a month now. Starts on the first try every day.

I hadn't thought about disconnecting the battery. Good idea! bulb

Preliminary testing on the Miata is very promising. All my stuttering/hesitation below 2500RPM is gone. Whether it was from the plugs or wires or timing adjustment, I don't know, but it's satisfying. I did adjust the timing last night as well, but I did it wrong, I thought the gauge was enumerated in the opposite direction Doh
Not a huge deal, I have it set to about 8-9º BTDC instead of 10º, it was at 12º when I started. It's fairly common/popular to set it to 12-14º to get a small amount of low end power, but lose a little on the top end. I'll probably fix that when I get home today.

So I just need to wait and see if there are any leaks from the various rubber bits that I replaced. Replacing the bolt/hose with the proper water plug looks to have reduced the coolant odor when the HVAC is set to fresh air.

Yeah, if you've been driving a month, it's probably up to a good voltage level. Hopefully the disconnect will fix it.

I played around with my IR thermometer in the engine bay too. My temperature gauge consistently points higher than appears to be normal for these cars, but has consistently done so the entire time I've had it, and I figure if it were actually overheating, I'd have seen symptoms by now. The IR thermometer seems to confirm that it's acting normally... then this morning I had the epiphany that whoever put the speedometer needle on pointing at the wrong number probably did the same thing with the temperature needle.

This kind of cracks me up.

The three or four times I've helped people in the tech support lounge was because I accidentally clicked there and didn't notice the pattern that "gee there sure are a lot of tech questions today."

File under "Bad idea or terrible idea?"
Someone on our craigslist is giving away a box of 50 condoms. What could go wrong?

Also, and I'm sure this is completely unrelated, he's selling "one needle, barely used."

Because it took me this long to think of it, or that someone put the speedometer needle on pointing at 9MPH when the car is stopped, or something else?
