My friend went to the soul food truck today and had fried whiting, collards and Mac and cheese. The breading on the fish looked perfect and the Mac had amazing crusty parts from the corner

I had country fried steak, mashed potatoes and white gravy because it was the caf special and looked ok...it was decent...a little over fried but the gravy was good...and then I got a bowl full of watermelon and a Dr. Pepper.

I need to kick my rear in gear...I got a decent amount accomplished today but I need to finish strong, but I'm losing motivation.

I think I may give the Pixies' "Here Comes Your Man" a try tonight.
I'm on the verge of being ready to play "If It Makes You Happy", that's one I'd tried playing way back in the first year of jamming, and it just wasn't going to happen. I haven't managed the octave shift in the chorus yet, but feel like it still works.

I crashed extra early last night, because I have an 8 am wonkference call. That's 7 am in Dallas, where the Death Star Corporation has their offices. I suspect the wonks who scheduled the early call (an entirely different group of wonks) are simply overachievers. That's good, because it might instill a tiny bit of faith in me. But I've already talked with them once, so I know better.
